POLYBOT: An Open Source UI Middleware for Orchestrating Multiple AI Agents
RileyRalmuto · x · 2026-08-17
Developer Riley Ralmuto shared a side project called POLYBOT, a middleware tool for unifying the management of multiple AI agents.
Key Features:
- A unified interface to manage existing agents, supporting group chats and personal computer connections via Box API.
- Integrated with Mnemos for memory and features per-agent ID encryption.
- Current Status: Fully functional with OpenAI Codex. It syncs all Codex sessions, enables streaming across platforms, and maintains bi-directional state sync between the custom UI and the native Codex interface.
- Roadmap: Support for Hermes and OpenClaw is next, followed by Claude.
The author noted that leveraging open-source components allows recreating the core functionality of multi-billion dollar apps in just an afternoon.
