MLX framework remains active as community shifts to custom inference engines

Despite criticism, Apple's MLX framework is reportedly more active than ever. The lack of updates specifically affects MLX-LM, the LLM package built on top of MLX. Consequently, the community has moved on to building custom MLX inference engines rather than relying on the official package.
