Stripe is acquiring AI model-routing startup OpenRouter for more than $7 billion, according to Bloomberg — a huge jump from its latest $1.3 billion valuation.
OpenRouter offers unified access to 400+ AI models and has 8 million users. Its CEO once described the company as "Stripe for AI" — now that's becoming literal.
