Agentic Science Pipeline Generates Novel Protein Sequences from Underspecified Goals
BrianHie · x · 2026-08-17
At the #reAgent2026 hackathon in SF, a team built an end-to-end agentic science pipeline: given an underspecified biology goal, it reads literature, discovers approaches, and generates protein sequences that didn't exist before.
- Deployed nine biological models via Proto Tools by Arc Institute, hosted on Modal
- Literature search with Paperclip by GXLai
- Coding agent support from Anthropic AI
This demonstrates the potential of AI agents in scientific discovery.
