Unlock 1M Context for GPT-5.6Sol in Codex with Simple Config

Developer Tibo shared a method to unlock the 1M context window for GPT-5.6Sol within the Codex client by adding three lines to the config.toml file. While officially supported, Codex defaults to a lower limit to manage performance and costs. Enabling the full window significantly increases token consumption and may degrade retrieval performance over very long contexts. Tibo also teased that Codex will eventually support the next-generation model, "GPT-6" (Astra).
