Opinion: Version Control Will Be Replaced by Evolutionary Trees

The next major shift in development will be abandoning the version control paradigm entirely. Instead of tracking linear sets of changes, the model will be replaced by an epigenetic or evolutionary tree structure where diffs are no longer relevant.
