SunaBox: High-performance deterministic particle physics sandbox powered by WebGPU
cheetoskull · reddit · 2026-08-16
SunaBox is a modern physics sandbox paying homage to OE-CAKE, powered by the newly open-source SunaEngine. The engine relies on integer calculations and order-independent accumulation to achieve deterministic physics simulations, ensuring bit-identical results across any WebGPU-compatible browser. This enables low-latency cross-platform multiplayer (transmitting only inputs) and perfect recording/playback. The author shared their workflow of using Claude to assist with math derivation and coding.
