Has tech stalled since 1963? AI might reverse biological aging

Daniel Lemire reflects on the pace of progress: 1876–1963 was a golden era for science and tech, yielding quantum mechanics, relativity, and computers. Since then, progress outside of computing has been modest. He argues that researchers are now bogged down by bureaucracy. However, a turning point has arrived with AI. Traditional authority is being challenged as sharp kids using Claude outperform established academics. While AI alone won't cure diseases, it may shift the culture enough to reverse biological aging within a decade.
