Insta360 X6 vs X5 Night 3DGS Test: Minor Detail Gains, Fewer Floaters
janusch_patas · x · 2026-08-16
Japanese user VRTAKAYAN compared Insta360 X6 and X5 for nighttime 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) capture. Both used PureVideo processing, fixed white balance at 4000, 8K resolution, 1-minute capture, processed with Kotohibi's tool, LFS settings mostly default (PPISP and Bilateral Grid on, mask ignored), generating 5.0M splats. Conclusion: overall difference is small, but X6 shows slight improvement in detail and reduction of floaters. Comparison images in replies.
