Study: Capabilities outside training scope hard to recover; K-5 model generalization limited
paulnovosad · x · 2026-08-16
A study shared by @fanfeili finds that while capabilities within LittleLearner's training scope were strengthened, performance on material far beyond its K-5 training boundary did not substantially recover. Even with out-of-scope post-training data, gains on Beyond-K–5 material remained limited, highlighting constraints on model generalization.
