Claudemon turns Claude Code agents into pixel pets, with all art and sound made in code

A Reddit developer open-sourced Claudemon, a Claude Code plugin that turns your coding agents into pixel creatures living in a little tank — assign them a task and watch them work and edit your files instead of staring at a wall of text. Each creature is its own agent with a distinct personality and working style, so you collect a roster and send whoever fits the task; there's also a full mini-game, Clawland, for when you need a break.

The most interesting part: the entire project was built with Claude Code alone, including all pixel art and animation, with no external art tools — the eggs, the dramatic hatch sequence (build-up, cracks, a shatter burst), particle effects, and even the sound are generated procedurally in code. The author frames it as a case study in using Claude Code for a full stack: the MCP server, the game, the art pipeline, and plugin packaging.

Free and open source (MIT), installable directly from inside Claude Code.
