World Humanoid Robot Games: 2,056 robots, 666 teams from 16 countries in Beijing
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-08-16
The World Humanoid Robot Games will run Aug 22–26 at Beijing's National Speed Skating Oval:
- Scale: 666 teams from 16 countries, 2,056 humanoid robots on display, across 51 events and 1,301 competitions.
- Vs. inaugural edition: teams up 138%, robot count quadrupled.
- Focus shift: last year pushed physical limits; this year emphasizes real-world challenges in industry, hotels, homes and logistics — dexterity tasks built around "dirty, dangerous, difficult" scenarios such as powder weighing, picking up beans with tweezers, opening bottles, assembly, housekeeping, fire rescue and book organizing.
- The attached video shows last year's Galbot G1 winning the pharmacy drug-pickup scenario.
