Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei responded to critics on social media regarding AI regulation. He refuted the binary choice that regulation inevitably leads to power concentration in the hands of a few companies or politicians. Amodei argued that the Silicon Valley shorthand equating regulation with regulatory capture is an oversimplification, noting that many outside the tech bubble view regulation as a necessary constraint on corporate power that benefits ordinary people.
