Nvidia reportedly investing $3B in SB Energy to back OpenAI data centers

Nvidia is reportedly discussing a $3B investment in SB Energy and supporting about $100B in financing for data centers in Pike County, Ohio. The DOE states SB Energy plans 10GW of power generation, with OpenAI as the intended tenant. This deepens the Stargate financing relationship, effectively applying vendor financing logic at the data-center scale to accelerate GPU demand, though it shifts some risk onto Nvidia.
