A regression report indicates that after updating the Claude Code VS Code extension to version 2.1.233, the thinking field in responses from claude-fable-5 is empty, though the UI still indicates a thought occurred. Logs confirm that claude-opus-5 functions correctly on the same version, and claude-fable-5 worked normally on the previous version (2.1.228). This is a model-specific regression affecting the display of reasoning content.
