A developer released Talkify, a free and open-source macOS dictation app. It is only 8.2 MB in size with a median latency of 123ms. Built on Apple's SpeechAnalyzer, it runs entirely on-device. Tests show it is faster than competitors like Wispr Flow and Superwhisper.
