Survey: 1 in 5 US Workers Now Delegate Tasks to AI Over Humans

A survey of 1,106 US workers by Epoch AI reveals that 20% have delegated tasks previously assigned to coworkers or contractors to AI. AI usage spans various tasks, peaking at 57% for system design. While AI often handles only portions of work, it leads to significant time savings—53% of tasks where AI does most of the work save time. Notably, 66% of AI-generated outputs are accepted with minimal or no edits.
