lee_stott · x · 2026-08-15
GitHub's official Copilot desktop App shipped v1.1.10 with 46 features and enhancements in a single release. Highlights:
- Background items and queued message management are now available to everyone and enabled by default;
- Added a way to repair a saved diff for a merged pull request session when it can no longer be loaded;
- Plugins, including their extensions, can now auto-update from Customize → Plugins;
- Side panel tabs support right-click to close, close others, or close tabs to the right;
- Pending queued or steering messages can be removed directly from the conversation transcript.
Smaller tweaks include Copilot work events in the PR timeline showing a small Copilot icon instead of an avatar, and deleted sessions with uncommitted work no longer triggering a recovery toast while still backing up work.
