luisdans · x · 2026-08-15
Anthropic released an FAQ confirming its watermarking strategy, stating it complies with the EU AI Act Code of Practice.
- Permanent & Unremovable: Watermarks are permanent and do not affect text quality or readability.
- Broad Coverage: Applied to all new models and existing ones after December, including translations.
- Detection Tools: A binary detection API will be available to determine if text is AI-generated, without tracing to specific users.
- Global Scope: While driven by EU regulations, the policy will be implemented globally.
