OpenSolr MCP: Managed Search Engine Tools for Claude/Cursor Agents

Released the OpenSolr MCP server (com.opensolr/opensolr-mcp) in the official registry. Once configured, any MCP agent gets access to 9 tools: hybrid + semantic search, async document ingestion (server-side embeddings), grounded RAG answers, and index management.
Notably, the agent never touches vectors; it sends plain text and receives ranked results. Tests showed successful semantic retrieval from PDFs even with zero keyword overlap. Ingestion is async with a status dashboard for agents to poll.
