Guangdong Province Partners with Alibaba to Boost AI and Chip Development

Guangdong, China's richest province, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Alibaba to deepen collaboration in AI, semiconductors, and smart public services. Alibaba plans to increase investments in computing power, AI models, and digital services. Provincial party secretary Huang Kunming urged Alibaba to step up tech innovation and investment, highlighting synergies with energy and telecom companies. Alibaba CEO Eddie Wu said Guangdong is a core region for Alibaba's strategy.
