Decentralized 10B LLM Teutonic-I Beats Larger Models via Competition

Teutonic-I 10B, a model trained via a 70-day decentralized 'King-of-the-Hill' competition on Bittensor Subnet 3, has been released. It achieved an unweighted mean score of 62.28% across 11 benchmarks, outperforming Quasar-Preview 18B (59.78%) and Covenant 72B (57.55%). It topped the charts in 8 of 11 tasks. The results demonstrate that decentralized competition can coordinate productive searches over training data and optimization strategies without a shared training pipeline.
