NSF funds AI-GENIE: generative AI to auto-build and validate K-12 STEM measures

A project titled "Open-Source Artificial Intelligence Methodology for Generating and Validating K–12 STEM Disposition Measures" has been officially funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation. The team will bring AI-GENIE (Automatic Item Generation and Validation with a Network Integrated Evaluation) to educational measurement, with Co-PIs Jim Soland and Mariana Teles and an advisory board including Stephen Sireci, Erik Ruzek, Luis Eduardo Garrido, and Alexander Christensen. The author frames the work as "Generative Psychometrics for Educational Measurement."
