Claude Improves Riemann Hypothesis Bound to 67.2% Using 60 Subagents
Inevitable-Ant1725 · reddit · 2026-08-14
Anthropic's Claude made progress on the Riemann Hypothesis, increasing the provable lower bound for zeros satisfying the hypothesis from 41.6% to 67.2%. Guided by staff member Jarred Sumner, Claude coordinated 60 subagents over two days, running 2,400 shell commands and hundreds of Python scripts, with thousands of numerical checks. Claude wrote up the findings and suggested human validation. Anthropic mathematicians reviewed and formalized the result in Lean.
