Matic launches Cues: point at a spill and speak — home robot understands 75 languages

Home robotics company Matic has launched Cues, bringing voice and gesture control to its robot vacuum. The team previously raised $115M and spent 9 years building what it calls "the world's first intuitive home robot."
The interaction is remarkably direct: point at a coffee spill and say "Hey Matic, clean this" — the robot hears, sees, locates the target in 3D, and cleans it on its own. Other capabilities:
- Say "Hey Matic" and it locates your voice, turns, and looks at you
- Say "follow me" and it walks along behind you
- Say "go clean the living room" and it navigates there using its house map
Matic claims a 5-year-old and an 80-year-old can both use it, that it understands 75 languages, and that it delivers 8x the airflow. The company positions this as how all robots will be controlled going forward.
