BCG: 70% of Enterprise AI Transformation Blockers Are People and Process, Just 10% Algorithms

Buying AI tools is merely "adoption," not "transformation." According to BCG, 70% of enterprise AI friction stems from people and process, 20% from tech and data, and only 10% from the algorithms themselves.

Most companies spend their budget on that final 10% without rebuilding workflows, resulting in unchanged efficiency. Engineering teams have crossed this chasm more successfully because code is deterministic, version-controlled, and centralized, allowing engineers to easily validate AI output via diffs.
