The author points out that being overly obsessed with hand-crafting plugins and bottom-level Agent architectures causes developers to lose interest in fully packaged products. This is likened to the 1970s hippie 'Dome-building movement'—fun to build, but practically leaky and hard to maintain.
The author urges developers to wake up from the extreme technical high, stop indulging in the 'everything is a plugin' illusion, and pivot to solving real-world pain points for ordinary users like lawyers and teachers.
