Claude Opus Isn't a Better Writer Than Sonnet, Often Produces 'AI-Slop'

A developer pointed out an ironic phenomenon in AI-assisted writing: despite being positioned as the higher-tier model, Claude Opus is not necessarily a better article writer than Sonnet.

They criticized that many paid users blindly rely on Opus, resulting in published texts filled with a tell-tale dense prose. This typical "AI slop" evokes personality and meaning while entirely lacking both. If such obvious AI traces make it into the final product, it means either no one noticed or no one cared, leaving the reader feeling shortchanged.
