智东西 · wechat · 2026-08-14
According to Reuters, Apple has partnered with Alibaba to jointly train a large language model specifically tailored for the Chinese market. Previously, Apple briefly published a section in its Mac user manual about using Qwen with Apple Intelligence, marking the first official disclosure of this domestic partnership.
The regulatory hurdles for launching Apple Intelligence in China have largely been cleared, with the service securing the necessary algorithm filings. Meanwhile, Apple is also collaborating with Baidu to develop AI search features and upgrade the domestic version of Siri. The exact division of labor between Apple's in-house models and these third-party partners remains unclear.
