Matic has introduced its first intuitive home robot, featuring a new voice and gesture control system called "Cues." The robot aims to simplify home cleaning through natural interaction.
Key Features:
- Responsive Interaction: Users can say "Hey Matic," and the robot will locate the voice, turn, and look at them.
- Dynamic Following: Supports a "follow me" command, allowing the robot to trail behind the user.
- Autonomous Cleaning: Users can point at a spill (like coffee) and say "clean this." The robot uses hearing, vision, and 3D localization to clean it autonomously. With a built-in house map, users can also direct it to clean specific rooms.
The product boasts 8x airflow and is designed to be easy enough for a 5-year-old or an 80-year-old to use, supporting over 75 languages. Matic reportedly raised $115M and spent 9 years developing this robot.
