Sarvam AI Opens Voice Agents Platform, Developer Tests Multilingual Haggling
msharmas · x · 2026-08-14
Indian AI company Sarvam AI has officially opened its Voice Agents platform to the public. The platform supports building human-like voice agents with context understanding, memory, and multilingual capabilities. The company stated the platform has already powered over 350 million conversations in enterprise deployments.
Following the launch, a developer quickly built and tested a voice agent simulating a local vegetable vendor. In real-world testing, the agent smoothly handled mixed conversations in Hindi, Telugu, and English. Even with constant interruptions and mid-sentence language switching, it accurately remembered the order, calculated the total, and confirmed the payment status.
