AWS has announced a series of significant service updates, with a strong focus on AI infrastructure and agent support:
- DynamoDB: Now supports real-time vector search, making it easier to build AI-powered search and RAG applications.
- Bedrock AgentCore: Runtime instances are generally available, making it easier to deploy and operate AI agents at scale.
- Amazon ECS: Supports fractional GPU scheduling with EC2 G6f instances to help teams run GPU workloads more efficiently.
- AWS Lambda: Console-to-IDE integration now extends to Kiro and Cursor for smoother development and debugging workflows.
- Security & Auth: WAF added a Salt Security managed rule group for detecting API and MCP threats; Cognito is now available as a skill in the AWS Agent Toolkit for easier authentication integration into AI agents.
