Grok 4.6 Enters the Pantheon: Matches Opus and Kimi in Coding
sergeykarayev · x · 2026-08-14
A benchmark by Superconductor evaluated the newly released Grok 4.6, finding its coding performance exceptional. The model entered the "Pantheon," matching the capabilities of Opus 4.8/5, Fable 5, and Kimi K3, and becoming the author's new daily driver.
The review also noted that the Cursor CLI harness is consistently slower than the native Grok harness, likely due to slower model endpoints or higher token consumption from tool instructions.
