Meta is donating 15,000 Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses to Vision Ireland, enough to cover every blind and visually impaired adult the charity supports.
The initiative aims to help the visually impaired live more independently using AI technology, featuring capabilities like reading text, identifying objects, and accessing information about the user's surroundings. Meta is also funding hands-on training for every recipient to ensure confident use of the technology.
