Renowned computer vision researcher Yi Ma announced he will visit the National University of Singapore (NUS) from August 16 to 19. He is scheduled to deliver an opening keynote and a tutorial at the Workshop on Mathematical Foundations of AI Models, organized by the Institute for Mathematical Sciences (IMS).
Ma took the opportunity to reiterate his long-standing advocacy: he believes it is high time for the mathematics community to embrace the challenge of developing a rigorous and systematic mathematical foundation for intelligence, akin to the foundations historically established for physics.
