Matic Robot Launches Cues: Voice & Gesture Control for Home Cleaning

Home robotics company Matic has introduced Cues, a new intuitive interaction system for its vacuum robot, combining advanced voice and gesture control.
Users can point to a mess (like spilled coffee) and say, "Hey Matic, clean this." The robot then uses audio, visual, and 3D spatial cues to locate and clean the area. Key features include:
- Voice Location: The robot finds the user and turns to face them when called.
- Follow Mode: Matic will follow the user around the house on command.
- Map Navigation: Users can direct it to clean specific rooms.
Backed by $115M in funding and 9 years of development, Matic features 8x the airflow of standard vacuums, understands 75 languages, and is designed to be easily usable by anyone from age 5 to 80.
