Agent Memory Challenge: New Research Achieves 97% Token Reduction

New research highlights that the hard part of agent memory isn't finding the right memory, but writing the right one.

On the LongMemEval benchmark, the method avoids a sharp score drop (90.6 to 60.6) despite processing far fewer tokens. The approach achieves a 45% speedup on long conversations and processes 97% fewer tokens, demonstrating that the cost of remembering should not scale with how much there is to remember.
