Ex-Google Veteran Chris Perry Leaves to Found AI Agent Startup Vycari
thechrisperry · x · 2026-08-14
After nearly 13 years at Google, Chris Perry announced his departure to start an AI agent startup named Vycari alongside @allenhutchison.
Perry argues that while AI agents are already capable enough to transform technology usage, the products built around them remain inadequate. Current agents demand too much setup, prompting, and chatting, whereas most users simply want to get things done.
He identifies the next major AI opportunity at the application layer: creating agents that are invisible, reliable, human-centered, and useful daily. Perry also outlined six core hypotheses driving their product development at Vycari.
