DeepSeek Open-Sources Harness Framework: Everything is a Plugin
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-08-14
DeepSeek has released DeepSeek Harness v0.1 in Developer Preview, open-sourcing the codebase under the MIT license. Built on the Cordis meta-framework, its core design philosophy is "Everything is a plugin."
This means models, tools, skills, sessions, sandboxes, filesystems, orchestration loops, and UI are all implemented as plugins, allowing developers to easily mix, match, replace, and extend them. Furthermore, the framework is highly transparent, avoiding the hiding of system reminders and allowing developers full access to complete agent trajectories for easier debugging.
