Rumored DeepSeek V4 Price Hike Exceeds 4x, Nous Pledges No Increase

Rumors suggest DeepSeek will implement dynamic pricing and sharply raise prices for its V4 models starting Aug. 16. V4-Flash peak output pricing reportedly rises to $1.32 per 1M tokens from $0.28, while V4-Pro will cost $3.96 vs. $0.87 currently—both over 4x increases. Off-peak pricing will be half those rates.
In response to the pricing rumors, Nous Research explicitly stated that they will not raise their DeepSeek API prices by 4x.
