Claude Code Sessions Can Now DM Each Other for Multi-Agent Workflows
EricBuess · x · 2026-08-14
Developers found a new way to orchestrate collaborative workflows in Claude Code. Users can name different terminal sessions using the claude --name command (e.g., backend and frontend).
Once named, these independent sessions can send direct messages (DMs) to each other. For instance, you can instruct the backend session: "tell frontend the orders endpoint moved to /v2." This significantly improves efficiency when managing multiple agents for complex engineering tasks.
