Claude Code Catches 89% of Hidden Malicious Commands, Auto Mode Becomes Default

Anthropic officially announced that ▶▶ auto mode on will become the default permission mode in Claude Code for Pro, Max, and Team plans.
To verify safety, they hid dangerous commands in real coding sessions and observed 1,053 professional developers reviewing them. The results showed that humans caught only 13.6% of the malicious commands, while Claude's Auto mode successfully caught 89%.
