Jiahui Yu, Meta's Multimodal Lead, Announces Departure to Found New Company

Jiahui Yu, a core figure in Meta's multimodal team, has announced his departure to start a new company.
He previously helped build the TBD Lab alongside Alex Wang and led the development of multimodal products including the Muse series, Spark, and Voice Mode. In his farewell post, he stated he is increasingly drawn to a new problem that will matter deeply to humanity.
