OpenAI announced the preview of its new Ultrafast mode, boosting the speed of GPT-5.6 Sol by up to 14x (generating up to 750 tokens per second). Powered by Cerebras, the mode is designed to bring frontier intelligence to latency-sensitive workflows.
Ultrafast is launching first in the OpenAI API to a select group of customers, with expanded access planned for more businesses as capacity grows.
