Jiahui Yu, Meta's Core Multimodal Lead, Departs to Found New Startup

Jiahui Yu, a key figure behind Meta's multimodal team, announced he is leaving the company to start a new venture. He noted feeling increasingly drawn to a problem that will matter deeply to humanity.
During his tenure, Yu worked alongside Mark Zuckerberg and Alexandr Wang to build the TBD Lab, leading the team to ship major projects including Muse, Spark, Voice Mode, Muse Image, and Muse Video.
