Jiahui Yu, head of multimodal at Meta, announced he is leaving the company to start a new venture. During his tenure, he built the TBD Lab alongside Mark Zuckerberg and Alexandr Wang, leading the development of the Muse suite (including Image, Video, Spark, and Voice Mode).
He stated that his departure is driven by an increasing focus on a problem that is deeply important to humanity's future but remains largely underexplored.
