Microsoft merges Copilot apps and kills off AI podcasts and Deep Research

Microsoft is simplifying its AI assistant Copilot by merging its previously separate consumer and business apps. The company is also dropping several unsuccessful AI features, including AI-generated podcasts, Group Chats, Deep Research, and its Mico character.
