Grok Bot Gives Cloud Agents Their Own Computer to Run Tasks
PrajwalTomar_ · x · 2026-08-13
xAI's Grok Bot is breaking the limits of traditional AI assistants by giving each bot its own dedicated computer in the cloud.
These cloud-based agents feature persistent memory, run on schedules, message each other, and hand the screen back to the user when stuck. This significantly lowers the barrier to entry for AI agents, allowing non-technical users to easily set up automated workflows, such as:
- Reading bookmarks every morning and building prototypes of cool ideas
- Monitoring Slack and automatically drafting progress updates
- Completing grocery runs across two different apps
