Apple Intelligence Photo Reindexing Causes iPhone Overheating and Battery Drain

Since late June, many users have noticed their iPhones running hot and dying faster. The core issue isn't battery degradation, but Apple Intelligence introduced in the iOS update.
Every time iOS receives a major update, Apple Intelligence rescans the entire photo library, running the chip hard for several days. The author recommends temporarily disabling Apple Intelligence and Siri in system settings until the phone settles, along with a few other tweaks to reduce background battery drain.
