ByteDance's Seedance 2.5 Hits CapCut Globally with $80K Video Challenge

ByteDance's editing platform CapCut has globally launched the Seedance 2.5 video generation model on its desktop app, with 1080p output coming soon. The model powers three core features: AI Video (generation), AI Edit (element refinement), and AI Extend (story continuation).
To promote the new release, CapCut launched the Wave 2 Video Challenge, offering an $80,000 cash prize pool (with a $50,000 first prize). Participants must download an official opening scene, use Seedance 2.5 to continue the story into a 3+ minute video, and post it on TikTok, Instagram, or X by September 6.
